Rare Prehistoric Shark found off Japan coast
A rare prehistoric shark was discovered by local residents in Shizuoka, southwest of Tokyo. The huge eel-like creature, considered to be a living fossil, was taken to Japan’s Awashima Marine Park and placed in a seawater pool. But the new environment was fatal and, only just a few hours after it was moved, the unusual shark died.

Anyone For Legs Of Lamb?
A seven-legged lamb was born last Friday to a farmer in Methven near Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Veterinarian Steve Williams said he believed a misprint in embryo formation resulted in the lamb being born polydactyl — in other words, with many legs — a condition that occurs once in several million sheep. The lamb will likely be destroyed, Williams said, because it was born without a bowel and cannot pass feces. It can walk, using its two forelegs and three hind legs. The remaining two legs hang useless behind the lamb’s forelegs.

Zebra Horse Hybrid. Yes it’s real.
“Eclyse,” a singular horse-zebra hybrid, arrived at her new home, the Stukenbrock safari park in Germany, two weeks ago. Eclyse’s mother is a zebra that used to call the Stukenbrock safari park home. In 2003, she was sent to a farm in northern Italy where she met Eclyse’s father, a horse. Eclyse’s coloring is very unusual for a zebroid.
